epidermal elasticity and the prevention of micro wrinkles, – eudermic oils add a protective film for this hydrated layer, preventing further dehydration – vitamins provide necessary reconstructive vitality. not only immediate relief in case of excessive exposure but also anti-wrinkle elasticity for the face and body. USE: dab on skin irritated by harsh weather to obtain immediate relief and inhibit skin damage. Continue treating the skin as often as possible every day to complete the healing process. For skin that is not currently exposed to irritants but still requires
hydration and toning, apply with massage to restore vitality to the subcutaneous muscle layers. The Argan tree is an endemic species of western Morocco. It is unique because, in addition to being a source of sustenance for the local population, it helps protect the territory from the advancing desert. The Argan tree represents one of the oldest trees on earth, first appearing 80 million years ago in southern Morocco.
The first written document dates back to 1219 and
is included in the works of the Arab physician Ibn al-Baitar. The local people have always known the great virtues of the argan plant and its fruits, producing an oil rich in nutrients and important substances for the body and skin. This oil is made even more valuable due to its long and difficult extraction. Depending on whether the kernels are toasted or not, Argan oil can be used both in cosmetics as well as in food. The richness of its compounds and antioxidant action give this oil excellent nutritional qualities with high stability
that results in an excellent shelf life. This precious oil also helps keep blood cholesterol (LDL) in check and helps protect the body from dangerous oxidative stress. Produced semi-artisanally to preserve all its characteristics while also guaranteeing quality and safety, the oil is produced with a very low yield: fifty kilos of fruit and 8 hours of labor produce half a liter of oil. First, the kernels are extracted (the seed inside the pit) and then minced. A small amount of lukewarm water is added to the resulting paste to facilitate
the extraction of the oil when pressed in a rotating stone mill. Then it is mixed with cold water to further facilitate oil extraction. The obtained paste is then stirred and manually pressed into droplets of oil emulsified in water. Argan oil is slightly darker than olive oil, has a strong toasted aroma, and a characteristic nutty taste. The oil contains more than
80% unsaturated fatty acids, (linoleic 34%, linolenic 0.1%, and oleic 46%) while the saturated components are palmitic 13% and stearic 5%. It is rich in tocopherols (vitamin E), flavonoids, carotenoids, xanthophylls, sterols, and triterpenes.Testing has that the antioxidant compounds within Argan oil, in addition to its biological effects and nutritional benefits, provide high stability for an excellent shelf life. Argan oil is used for face and body care: for massages, for dry, brittle, and lackluster hair with split ends, and for brittle
nails. The use of this plant oil in topical applications highlights important dermatological and functional properties: rapid, grease-free absorption, producing soft, smooth, and silky skin. Its moisturizing barrier effect on the skin resists over time, guaranteeing benefit and nourishment for dehydrated skin. The emollient properties of this natural lipid make it suitable for the prevention of sagging skin, to mitigate redness and eczema, and in healing burns. Its soothing action is useful for treating sprains and bruises, and its
antiseptic properties defend against microorganisms that cause skin infections. The structure of the epidermis consists largely of essential fatty acids, of which linoleic acid is the most important. Every day, the skin is subjected to an irreversible process: aging. Thanks to the high concentration of essential fatty acids and vitamin E, this oil protects from external agents by neutralizing free radicals and provides
hydration and lipids for the skin. It strengthens natural protections and promotes cell oxygenation, for even more hydrated and vitalized skin that resists oxidative stress. Argan oil is therefore a precious raw material in the development of cosmetics for the face and body with moisturizing, nourishing, and anti-aging capabilities.
